Competent Authority

The Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland(SCSI) is the professional body for Chartered Surveyors in Ireland under the Building Control Act, 2007.

As the competent authority, the SCSI has a role in the registration of title for both Quantity Surveyors and Building Surveyors. Those who wish to use either the title of Quantity Surveyor or Building Surveyor must register with the SCSI.

Licensing Procedures

Any person wishing to establish in Ireland and use the title of either Quantity Surveyor or Building Surveyor must apply to be registered with the SCSI Registration Body.
