Geological Engineer

Competent Authority

The Institute of Geologists of Ireland is the professional body representing geologists in Ireland. Membership of the Institute of Geologists of Ireland is open to all practising geoscientists who meet the required standards of qualification and experience. Professional membership of the Institute of Geologists of Ireland gives geoscientists the right to use the title 'PGeo' which is considered by the Institute of Geologists of Ireland to be increasingly becoming a quality standard and contractual requirement for provision of geological services.
