Abnormal Loads

An abnormal load must adhere to the maximum weight limits set down by Road Traffic (Construction and Use of Vehicles) Regulations 2003, S.I. 5 of 2003 and the maximum height limit set down in Road Traffic (Construction and Use of Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations 2008, S.I. 366 of 2008

A "Permit for Specialised Vehicles" form when signed by the Garda Síochána Permits Officer grants permission to move abnormal loads as defined under the above Regulations, on inter-urban routes specified in the Schedule of Designated Roads. Any deviations from the Schedule of Designated Roads in above Regulations require independent authorisation from the Local Authority concerned and/or the Minister for Transport.

Amusement Machine Annual Licence

Or

Amusement Machine High Season Licence

Authorises the holder to offer the use of an Amusement Machine. The definition of which includes all of the following: it is constructed or adapted for playing of a game, the player pays to play the machine whether by insertion of a coin, token or any other way, the outcome of the game is determined by the action of the machine whether or not provision is made for manipulation of the machine by the player and it affords the player: no more than an opportunity to play again or the opportunity to obtain a non-monetary prize which, if available for purchase, would not normally exceed €7 in value.

Architect- Registration

Persons wishing to use the title of "Architect" in Ireland are required to complete a registration process.

The purpose of the authorisation scheme is a consumer protection measure, by ensuring that persons using the title of "Architect" have recognised and adequate qualifications.
The process is set out in Part 3 of the Building Control Act 2007 (Number 21 of 2007). This legislation was implemented on 1 May 2008 by the Building Control Act 2007 (Commencement) Order 2008 (S.I. No. 50 of 2008). Both the Act and the Commencement Order can be found on www.irishstatutebook.ie.

Asbestos Notifications
