Notified Body for construction products Persons in Ireland wishing to operate as a notified body for construction products are required to complete an application for notified body status. |
The purpose of a notified body for construction products is to ensure that the third party tasks in relation to the assessment and verification of constancy of performance of construction products are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the relevant harmonised European standard. |
The Irish National Accreditation Board undertakes accreditation and monitoring of notified bodies in Ireland. Bodies seeking to be notified for the purpose of the Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products and repealing Council Directive 89/106/EEC should first apply to the Irish National Accreditation Board for the accreditation relevant to the services they wish to provide. |
